Helen Keler

Understanding Ideas?

1.Why were Helen Keller’s parents grieved and confused?  Because the mum and dad were very sad because she couldn't talk.

2.How old was Helen when she first met her teacher? When she was 6 years old.

3. How did Helen learn the word doll?
Because every time the teacher writes and spells a word Helen's teacher always wrote on her hand.

4.How did she connect Miss Sullivan’s ‘finger  play’ with the names of things? Helen Keller was so difficult  for the parents so the parents found a teacher by the time Helen Keller met her.

Cats are better then dogs

                             Cats are better than dogs.

Cats are better than dogs because they don’t bark at night when the people walk around at night and they don’t run after them.

Cats are very nice little animals and they don’t eat whatever food that they would like to eat. Cats are very little pets and they love to have someone to look after them at home and wherever they go.

Cats can live with someone that loves to live with them.Image result for cats and dogs cartoonCats are better then dogs

Reading Response Journal

Title:TRICKED.

Author: Sarah Reid.

Today I read about the mum dad sister and the brother.

I feel happy about what I read today because they went to the beach and have a little swim.

My favourite character was all of them because they are all good.

I would feel  happy if the same thing that happened to my character, happened to me because I love to go to the beach.

I think if the author decided to write another part to this story this is what will happen they will go back home and stay there and have fun.

Make a string Telephone

Make a string telephone

What you’ll need?

  • 2 paper cups
  • A sharp pencil to help poke holes
  • String.

Instruction:

  1. Cut a long piece of string
  2. Poke a small hole in the bottom of each cup

Thread the string through each cup and the knots at each  end to stop it pulling through the cup
  1. Move into position with you and a friend holding the cups at a distance that makes the string tight
  2. One person talks into the cup while the other puts the cup to their ear and listens

What’s happening?

Speaking into the cup creates sound waves which are converted into vibrations at the bottom of the cup. The vibration travel along the string and are converted back into sound waves at the other end so your friend can hear what you said. Sound travels through the air but it travels even better through solids such as your cup and string, allowing you to hear sounds that might be too far away when travelling through the air.

Argument

I  think that we  should wear  uniforms to school  because it is very important to wear it to school.

The uniforms that we wear to school is important because if we get lost some people will see  them and take them back to the school that they come from and then they will go back and do what they were doing. That is an important thing to do by taking the kids back to the school that they need to be back.

Know you can see that  i will like to wear 1 uniforms for a week so my mum will don’t waste her time doing the washing.
