Title: The Witchetty Poms: By June Peka.

1. My Predictions:  I Predict that when they put the magic grub in the water it says it will grow.

2. Key Ideas: When the magic grub grows it will turn into lobsters.

3. Vocabulary and meanings: - Write at least 10  words down and its meaning.

• Grub - the larva of an insect, especially a beetle.
• Pomegranates - edible seeds
• Makariri - it is very cold
• Brisbane - nickname from Old French briser to break  Old English ban bone.
• Moaning - the sound effects from the lobsters in the water.

4. My question and answers: Why does Nanny like pomegranates? Because the taste of it is so delicious.

5. Summary: Nanny was so angry because tama didn’t  bring her any pomegranates but she got happy because tama brought her the magic grub.
