Day 8, Holiday Home Learning * Our Community

Below are some iconic places in our local community. Take some time to find out more information about these places. This will help you develop a deeper understanding of the history of our local community.

History
Tamaki College logo. This is the logo that is on every uniform from Tamaki College. (TC).
Selwyn College. Selwyn College is named after George Augustus Selwyn the first Bishop in New Zealand. It is owned by Anglican Diocese of Dunedin. It was opened on the 15th of January 1893 and was Otago's first residential college.
Four Square. This shop is near the meat and Bakery shop.
The Gas station near On the Run/Subway and KFC. This Gas station was rebuild ever since September Last year and was re-opened a few months ago.
Mad Butcher. This is the Mad Butcher in Glen Innes near the Takeaways called “Great Tongs”. This Mad Butcher closed a few days ago because they ran out of money.
