Kiwi Sport

Today was our last session of Badminton. So, today we didn't waste any time. We got straight into a game called around the world, not the around the world game you play that's similar to GKQ (General Knowledge Questions. The game we played needed a racket and a badminton shuttle. We also needed to get into two equal teams. After we were all organised, we got straight into it.
Minutes later, We were done. Joe (the coach) divided us up into four teams. Two teams played on one court, and the other two team played on another court. At the court I was at, we had a lot of hitting going up into the air and hitting the roof, and some people couldn't hit the badminton shuttle which made both teams laugh out loud including the teacher (Mrs Tofa). 10 - 15 minutes later, We were all called down to the floor. Joe announced the two best badminton players that improved a lot in his eyes, and the two students were Mathew and Kalolaine. At first, he didn't know they were siblings until someone called out they're brothers and sisters. The expression on his face made us laugh. For the last two minutes we had, we decided to spend it playing champion vs champion. Sadly, I couldn't play because I'm didn't win once, but it doesn't matter. At 10:20, The next class came in and we lined up on the side of the hall waiting for everyone to line up. Today's session was very fun and I hope with all the skills I've learnt during badminton will be remembered.
Thank you!

Kiwi Sport.

On Thursday the 18 of May Room 10 went down to the hall for Kiwi Sport.

When we got down to the hall we walked into the hall. There were two coaches there waiting for us to come. Room 10 was there, so were Mr Nath, Miss Kirkham, Chrissy and Antonia. Those were all the people that were there.

First we played a warm up game called Shore, Sharks and Sea. Shore was on our left, Sea was on the Right and Shark was in the centre. The game was challenging for us.  We had to run to the place that Antonia called out. It was pretty tiring for me. The winners in the game were Me and Sarah.

Then we got into two groups and we played passes.  There were four types of passses we played. They were called Shoulder pass, bounce pass, overhead pass and chest pass. This game was also tiring.

Afterwards we played four types of game that we had to use the ball for.  The first one was when we had to pass the ball around our bodies and then we had to throw up and clap, throw between our legs and pass over and under our heads.

I felt very amazed when we went ours for Kiwi sports. And in future I want to be a Netball Player for the Silver Ferns Team.
