Maths Reflection

Today in Maths, I've learnt the place value of numbers in decimals and also a decimal table. We didn't JUST learn about that, We had a workshop session today where both math groups did that same thing but the problems were given by our teacher. Maths was really fun today but unfortunately we only do workshops on Wednesdays, so tomorrow is back to normal routine. I'm really looking forward to doing more Maths this year, Although I am a year 8, I really need help with learning decimals and fractions!....

Accepting people the way they are. Outside of school work

This is a piece of work I did at home, Not at school. This wasn't informed to do, I decided to do it because, as I was watching YouTube, I came across a video about a girl named Jazz Jennings being transgender at 11 and her experience about going through something she's wanted ever since she was seven. Also in this presentation I've mentioned things about accepting people the way they are. I hope you learn something new and ENJOY!

  • Note Taking - The brain and Nervous System
DISCLAIMER - DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME!
Everyone feels pain differently
Pain is in your brain

People handle pain in different ways and different techniques.
Nerves. Your spinal cord is protected by a very strong and protected bone
called a your SPINE!
Nerves work in different ways.
The brain needs to send messages to your nerves to help you do things.
For example...if you want a cup of tea.
Myelin/Nerve cell sheath is wrapped around your nerves help you act fast.
Messages travel through your nerves into your muscles.
Epilepsy can cause you to have OPERATIONS! Epilepsy starts in your brain.
Epilepsy can make you forget really simple things.
It can be life changing after having surgeries.

TRICKS!

When you hand is in hot water and then you put it into warm water
your brain thinks that your hand that was in the hot water is in cold water.
When your lying down on the floor your brain and nerves stop thinking that
your legs are in the air, but instead your brain thinks it's on the floor,
Well basically falling through the floor!.
Sometimes your brain doesn't function properly when you are dazed/asleep
or in a bad mood.
