Current Event Reading !
- Today for current events, I read about a little boy who had 526 teeth. The boy was 7 years of age, He lives in India and his name is Ravindranath. He was seen at Saveetha Dental College in Chennai, India. He had been complaining of swelling in his jaw. An X-ray of the boy’s jaw revealed a sack of tissue weighing 200 grams, doctors said. It contained 526 teeth. Some of the teeth were one-tenth of a millimetre, while others were up to 15mm. All had the properties of teeth. The surgery to remove the teeth took five hours. A similar case took place in 2014, when dentists extracted 232 teeth from a teen in Mumba.

Today for current event's reading, I read about how New Zealand placed sixth in happiness survey. The annual Gallup Global Emotions Report interviewed about 150,000 people in more than 140 countries about their positive and negative experiences. New Zealand came in sixth equal for enjoyment. A total of 86 per cent said they had experienced enjoyment the previous day. While 82 percent of Kiwis reported smiling or laughing, we were a little behind Nigeria who scored 91 percent. Only 16 percent of New Zealanders reported feeling sad, compared to 54 percent in Chad, which had the highest sadness score. Taiwan did best in the sadness stakes, with only 5 percent feeling sad.

Cyclone Fani has torn through India’s eastern coast as a grade 5 storm. Winds gusting up to 205km/h have wreaked havoc. The India Meteorological Department said the “extremely severe” cyclone in the Bay of Bengal was one of the worst on record. Officials have now started to assess the impact of one of the worst cyclones to hit the region in decades. Fortunately, authorities had managed to evacuate around 1.2 million prior to the storm hitting India. This Storm has also taken away 33 lovely lives and in sea, there has been no life lost reported after Cyclone Fani. I just hope that this pathetic cyclone stops anytime soon, and I also hope that India is doing fine and also fighting through this storm. Here are a few pictures showing how much damage Cyclone Fani has caused to the beautiful country India!!
